The proposed Khalapur Cancer Hospital and Integrative Research Centre is envisioned as a pioneering institution dedicated to the treatment, research, and education of cancer care through an integrative approach that combines modern oncology with Ayurvedic therapies. The centre aims to provide specialized care for patients suffering from Stage III and Stage IV cancer, offering holistic treatment options that address both the disease and the overall well-being of patients.
The mission of the institution is to provide comprehensive, accessible, and patient-centric cancer care. To support this initiative, the Government has allotted approximately 10 hectares of land at Tambati, Khalapur, for the development of a 100-bedded cancer hospital with integrated Ayurvedic treatment facilities.

The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, is supporting the establishment of this hospital-cum-research centre, recognizing its potential to advance cancer treatment through interdisciplinary collaboration. The facility is envisaged as a unique platform where experts in modern medicine and Ayurveda can work together, fostering a mutual exchange of knowledge, research methodologies, and therapeutic techniques.
