JIJAMATA HOSPITAL

Pimpri-Chinchwad has come a long way form being a satellite city of Pune. It has grown into a well-planned city itself. This has increased the population and the need for healthcare infrastructure. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation decided to develop a multispecialty hospital to reduce the load on the existing Yashwantrao Chavan Multispecialty Hospital- the only one in the area.

The site of Jijamata Hospital had a small maternity home-cum-urban health centre. The construction involved demolishing the existing structure to make way for the proposed multispecialty hospital. The project site posed several challenges in planning due to its proximity with river Pawana and part of the plot affected due to high flood level. Additionally, the planning and design of the hospital is according to all requirements of PCMC and follow norms of medical council of India. The hospital, since its completion, has given a bigger and easier access to top-class medical facilities for the people of Pimpri-Chinchwad. A 100-bed hospital, Jijamata Hospital is a structure of excellence in the locality.
